Tuck Volunteers – Fall Day of Service

Each semester the Tuck Volunteers program organizes a Day of Service when students take a break from their busy academic schedules to give back to the Upper Valley community. On October 26, 16 students and partners gathered at Women’s Informational Services (WISE) to help with yard work. Students shared breakfast before spending the morning raking leaves and cleaning up the grounds around WISE.

WISE provides advocacy, crisis services, and community education to those affected by domestic and sexual violence and stalking, serving people throughout the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. Tuck Volunteers co-chair, Kathy Buck commented “I am always amazed by the amount our volunteers accomplish in just a few hours. The pictures taken of the WISE yard at the end of the day barely resembled the pictures taken that same morning! We loved having the opportunity to help out such a great organization in the Upper Valley and look forward to our Winter Service Day.”
